Some friends of mine have recently brought a little boy named Cash, the newest Leaf fan, into the world. What better way to spend his first week than modelling for me?

It's important to remind ourselves sometimes of how lucky we are, no matter where we're living in this beautiful country we call home.  This photo was taken on one such lovely day, in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada; Banff, Alberta. Meet my backyard. ;)

A long overdue update

So shortly after creating this blog of mine, I quickly forgot all about it, and then found myself "too busy" to keep updating it.  So, here it is, my next crack at staying up-to-date.
It would be awfully difficult (and likely boring to the reader) to fill in the blanks since November. It's been cold in Banff. And snowy.
The most snow, in fact, that I think I've seen here in the past 4-5 winters.

Sadly, I've been too busy to get much snowboarding in, but I've had the camera out, and the wild chocolate Lab Hunter with me.

It is a snowin' in Banff!!

Ullr, the God of snow has answered prayers of locals and visitors alike by dumping a whole bunch of the fluffy white stuff on us here in the Rockies. It started yesterday evening and continued well into the night. Leaving for work this morning, I was reminded how beautiful it is here when everything is covered, as well as how to drive in winter!

Winter's here

What a great weekend. Lake Louise ski hill opened over a week ago, and mt. Norquay opened yesterday. Instead of squeezing into lineups and avoiding hitting people on the limited one run hills, we opted for a little pond hockey at vermillion lake. The ice was like glass, so smoothe and clear. Truly an incredible winter experience.
